Mass Appeal and Marvel Join Forces for Legend Has It… Comic

Mass Appeal has partnered with Marvel to bring the Legend Has It… universe to life in a new way — a single, limited-edition comic book that reimagines the stories of all seven artists in the series.

Created by writer Brandon Thomas and illustrator Sanford Greene, the comic transforms the real-world journeys of Nas & DJ Premier, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, De La Soul, Mobb Deep, Big L, and Slick Rick into a connected mythos — celebrating the origins, obstacles, and lasting impact of each.

The comic will debut at New York Comic Con on October 10, where fans can pick up exclusive copies and hear directly from the artists and creative team during a live panel discussion.

This collaboration unites two storytelling worlds that have shaped generations — hip-hop and comics — both driven by imagination, resilience, and the power to inspire.

Legend Has It… continues to expand, reminding us that every legend has an origin story.
